East Texas Ponds

Ponds and lakes have many uses in East Texas. Land owners have them built to store water for wildlife, cattle, horses, and other animals. They are built largely to utilize property that otherwise would be unusable for pasture or growing timber. They are also built to beautify property and add value to property to be sold.
Site Preparation

This was a site preparation job I recently completed. The biggest challenge to this clearing and site preparation project was a large hole that was hidden in the middle of the property. The timber and brush had to be removed first, then there was drainage issues that had to be resolved. The next step was grading. The property had highway frontage. The elevation of the site had to work with the drainage already in place for the highway property. The site will be used for storage rental units.
Bulldozer Work

My life’s work has been about soil and water conservation. I build stock tanks for farmers and ranchers. These water reservoirs provide water for livestock and wildlife, water for recreation such as fishing and water sports, and water for irrigating crops for truck farmers. The timber removed for these projects are taken to my sawmill and turned into lumber to be used to build barns, outbuildings, storage buildings, homes, and for the restoration of historic buildings.
